Returns, Refunds & Repairs Policy

Natures Nest Boxes
(Complies with the Australian Consumer Law)

At Natures Nest Boxes, we are committed to providing high-quality, handmade nest boxes for wildlife. This policy explains how we handle returns, refunds, and repairs in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. Consumer Guarantees (Your Rights)

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if a product has a problem.

You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product:

  • has a fault or defect,

  • is unsafe,

  • is significantly different from the description or photos

Major Problems

If the issue is major, you may choose a refund or replacement.

Minor Problems

If the issue is minor, we may choose to repair the item, as permitted under the ACL.
If the item cannot be repaired within a reasonable time, you may be eligible for a refund or replacement.


2. Change-of-Mind Returns

Because our nest boxes are handmade and often made to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect choice, or if you simply no longer want the product.
Please choose carefully and contact us if you need help selecting the right box.


3. Returns Due to Faults or Issues

If your product arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

When requesting a return, please provide:

  • your name

  • your order number

  • a description of the issue

  • clear photos of the product and packaging (if applicable)

We may request proof of purchase to process your claim.


 

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the product is faulty, damaged, or sent in error, we cover the return shipping costs.

  • For returns not covered under the ACL (if accepted at our discretion), the customer may be responsible for return postage.


6. Processing Refunds & Replacements

Once your return is approved and received, we will process your remedy as quickly as possible.

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

  • Replacements or repairs will be organised promptly, depending on the nature of the issue.
