FAQ
Do I have to assemble the nest box myself?
No, the Nest boxes will arrive at your door assembled. Your order will also include pre drilled holes, wood shavings (depending on the species), wire and hose for installation.
How will I know what nest box I need?
Many of our boxes can suit multiple species, click here to learn about what species you may have in your area
How can wildlife get in and out of the nest boxes?
Our nest boxes include a natural timber spout made from sustainably sourced gumtree and wattle, creating a stable landing pad for wildlife. Inside the box, a carved internal ladder allows animals to easily climb in and out, closely replicating a natural tree hollow.
How do I maintain the nest box?
We recommend cleaning out your nest box once a year and checking regularly for pest species. It's also important to check your tree growth and see if your hose and wire needs adjusting.
How long until wildlife moves in?
Some wildlife may inspect a nest box within days, while others can take weeks or even months before moving in.
Native animals are cautious by nature. It’s common for them to observe, investigate, and “test” a nest box over time before deciding it’s safe enough to call home. Factors like species, location, surrounding habitat, height, and time of year all play a role.
In short: don’t expect overnight results. A nest box is an invitation — and when the timing is right, wildlife will move in.
