Our Story
Welcome to Nature's Nest Boxes, a mother-daughter duo passionate about wildlife conservation and land restoration. We are Leanne and Georgina, and together, we’ve embarked on a journey to support the natural world through the creation of high-quality nest boxes for wildlife.
Our story begins with Leanne, who, along with her husband, purchased over 100 acres of bushland in Mount Mee, Queensland, five years ago. This property sparked a deep passion for wildlife and land rejuvenation, inspiring her to create a sanctuary for local creatures. After raising five children, Leanne is now ready to pursue her lifelong dreams of contributing to wildlife conservation.
Georgina, her daughter, shares this passion. As a mother of two young children, she’s eager to join her mother in this mission, combining their love for nature with a commitment to preserving wildlife habitats. Together, we are dedicated to creating products that help protect the diverse species affected by land clearing and habitat destruction.
It’s important to recognize the growing impact of land clearing on wildlife. In Australia, many native species rely on tree hollows for shelter and nesting. However, these hollows take decades to form—sometimes up to 100 years. With land clearing occurring at a rapid pace, natural hollows are disappearing faster than they can form, leaving many animals without homes. Our nest boxes aim to provide an immediate solution to this issue, offering safe, sustainable shelters for wildlife in need.
At Nature’s Nest Boxes, we use locally sourced, durable materials that support native wildlife as well as common backyard bird species. We offer two colour options, as well as the natural timber look, to suit your habitat, allowing you to personalize your nest box or birdhouse to blend seamlessly into your environment.
Thank you for supporting our small business and helping make a difference for the wildlife that depend on us. Your purchase contributes to a more sustainable future, where we all work together to restore and protect the land for generations to come.
